Default Passport SRX Radar Detector

My S2000 came with a radar detector in it, last night as I was changing the license plate frames I noticed two modules in the front and one module in the rear. They are well hidden and you cant even tell they are mounted with the frame hardware, they look like they hook up to the radar detector which is mounted on the steering column.

What do they do?

They are laser detectors/jammers. And yes they do work. Tho you'll have to tell the SRX that you want it to jam a laser signal. The default setting is to only warn of a laser signal.

I thought a laser jammer/scrambler was legal as opposed to a radar jammer/scrambler?

Am I mistaken?
