Not sure it just says weight distribution and mentions how the engine is positioned low and behind the front suspension. If Honda just rounded up and called the first s2000 50/50 distribution why not do the same for the MY08?

The 50/50 referrs to F/R distribution.
L/R distribution will always be close to 50/50 (after rounding).
Corner weighting changes the diagonal distribution, while leaving R/R and L/R (relatively) unchanged.
