I have a 7/8 screen, it's tinted so I'm reluctant to install it. Plus I never had a screen on my old S, so I'm still getting used to this one.

Do you guys think the 7/8 or the full sized really make much of a difference? Just kinda curious, and would like to know if it's actually a functional advantage over simply an aesthetic one.

sorry for the minor thread hijack attempt.

The screen was not the source of the rattle for me. I had not gotten around to installing the supplied bumpers.

How much difference does it make? I like to push the temperature envelope and drive top-down on fairly cold days. But I compensate by surrounding myself with plastic and glass: 7/8 screen, home-made headrest wind blockers, and windows up.

Yes, some people think it's geeky to have windows up, but better windows up than top up!

And yes, 7/8 is really better than stock.

7/8 screen definitely works. The rubber bumpers keep it from rattling. Mine has been up at over 100mpg with no problems, and the 7/8 doesn't interfere with top up/down.

I have the full size. If I had to do it again, I'd go with the 7/8 just so it doesn't stick up so far. As for your question, look here:

That's funny you say that. My husband and I used to bag on folks that drove around their convertibles top down windows up.........

and then we got the S

too bad that doesn't work in the 'vette

I love it. It does help, plus it looks great with MacGuyver's windscreen lights.

And when you brake...

I never got any rubber bumpers. And yes, it looks awesome with MacGyver's lighted windscreen mod. Only problem is keeping it clean!
