Performance Driving Instruction
I am relatively new to driving the S2000 (1st MT) but I am able to drive normally without any problems at all. However, I read from many posts about people spinning out because they do not take corners correctly. Is there a site you all can link me to or a book you can reccomend that can teach me about more intermediate driving techniques (heel-toe shiting and rev-matching) and other topics that may be useful. I want to be able to learn and drive the car to its full potential but am afraid to really push it without any prior knowledge. Any advice will be helpful. Thanks

I don't know anything about Hell-toe "Shiting" but I can tell you that the best thing you can do is go to a track event to learn how to drive your car under better circumstances than the highway!
Since you are in our state! Visit Chinmotorsports.com to find a schedule of track dates! Several s2000 drivers from your area attend and they would be happy to help you with any questions.

yeah i definately will do some track events and auto-x over the summer. I just don't want to go into these events without any knowledge. I'll probably take a performance driving course over the summer as well but just wondering if there is any info out there that can give me an idea.

Chinmotorsports is high performance drivers education - the whole point to my response was to let you know that is where you learn!
I did my first track event at homestead and have done a few since then! This weekend they will be at Sebring - the web-site will give you more info and I would post this in the Florida forum if you want more local advice!

Really, check out the Chin events. LOTS of first timers with no experience go to them. That's where I started. For an extra $50, you get an instructor in your car with you, all day. Everything from Street Stock to the CMS Formula Mazdas. Tons of fun, great instructors, lots of track time.
For books, Going Faster, from the Skip Barber school is by far the best out there. Get the updated edition from Amazon for $25 or so. You get a double bonus, the entire book uses Sebring as a case study.
You can also check speedventures.net (forgive me Nick!). They run events similar to CMS, and may have dates that work better for you. But CMS is a Florida organization, and they run first-rate events, and they have lots of S2000's at most events.

I recommend this book, but of course nothing substitutes for real instruction.
