Default Picked up my ap2 today, problem :(

Bought my 2004 ap2 with 26k miles on it today.. Test drove it twice before actually purchasing it, signed all the papers, drove it away and the check engine light comes on.. pull into a gas station turn the car off, turn it on the maintenance required light blinks for a few (check engine light comes on right away) and then goes away. The place I bought it from is one of those buy it as it is dealerships, but I bought the extended warranty on it(not through them though).. Anyways I drove it back and they said to drop it off and their mechanic will look at it, im just hoping he doesn't deactivate the check engine light. The car drives and runs fine, only thing I noticed is it stumbles a bit at idle every once and a while but my gfs 07 tiburon does the same thing. Any idea what could be causing that at only 26k miles? Anyways this is just a rant/wtf do I do thread. Sorry.

If youre maintenance light is flashing or on, it means you need an oil change. Theres a DIY here regarding how to turn that light off. Im too lazy to find it for you though

Are you saying that might be the problem? Ive never known the check engine light to come on when and oil change is needed, but then again I havent been in a Honda for a good minute.

the check engine light can also appear if you don't turn the gas cap 3 clicks.

If the CEL is flashing, the car should not be driven.

Make sure it doesn't have a test pipe installed, that can throw a CEL too.
