Plastic To Glass Window Soft Top
Since the new version update for this site...it makes it much tougher to *see* where people are posting from (i.e. where they live). But if you're interested, and if the location works for you, consider contacting/PM'ing moparacker (Tony Acker) out of Virginia Beach, VA. Tony owns an S2000 himself, has a strong mechanical background, and among many services he's performed for the Mid-Atlantic members, Tony has now performed three complete plastic-to-glass vinyl softtop conversions. He has done this without the need to have the owner purchase the upgraded frame. You only have to provide the replacement vinyl top and a very appropriate amount of cash
and Tony will take care of your conversion. It does, however, require 8-10 hours labor due as much to all the interior pieces that must be removed and then, of course, re-installed. But Tony does a top-notch job.
I just had him complete my own '01 to '02 top conversion. Very nice job.

I have done this install about four times and it is very time consuming. But if you do the install yourself then you'll save about $300-$500 that an upholestry shop will charge and about $1000+ that a dealership will charge for their installation.
You can buy a new soft-top from Hardtopguy for $850 shipped for the black or about $750 shipped for the blue soft-top. Then you need some misc. parts like elastic straps, rivets, rivet gun, drill, etc...shouldn't cost more than $20 or so for the misc. parts.
PM Clovis if you need the instructions because his are very detailed and will definitely help you out a lot.
