I've seen a lot of 2000 - 2001's here for very low prices, and I'm wondering if it's worth the extra 7 grand for the improvements a 2002 has. With that extra money you could just get a hard top. I heard also that there might be a different suspension for the 2002s, is this true?

Well Benny, its bad enough that I had my entire top replaced for a new window (under warranty of course) and I just bought a hard top for that reason. I had a deal for $6k more for an 02. Not worth it to me. Oh yea, my hard top will be here next week. My opinion: the top is down all summer (georgia ) and the plastic isnt bad during the summer. so, put a hard top on during the winter and the problem is solved of course, in my opinion good luck on your decision Brandon

Buy an 02 if you want the glass screen otherwise get an 00/01. I suppose it also depends on the climate you live in!

An important consideration is whether the car will be parked outside very much. The elements will take their toll eventually. Properly cared for, though, the PRW is great, and offers a better field of view than the GRW. My garaged/pampered PRW is still clear and supple after 3 years.

IMHO, the plastic window is definitely NOT really that bad.

Benny,

I use Novus on my 01 regularly and it is as clear as the day I bought it. I would recommend that you purchase a MUZ Roof Well Mat and Window protector. The down side to the glass rear window on the 02 is the size. It is smaller. Good Luck

I love my '00 S2000 and have learned how to take care of the rear window, after getting the first one replaced. However, if I were looking to buy an S2000 right now, I would go with the 2002 model for the improved rear window and stereo.

Of course, I haven't looked out of my rear window for several months now, so maybe it doesn't make any difference.

What about the suspension? I heard some people saying that the 2002 have a less stiff suspension.
