Default Plastic Wheelwell Damage... HELP

Today i hit a truck tire that had been kicked up by the cars in front of me. There is no cosmetic damage to the outside but it took out some of the plastic rivits holding it in place. Its still driveable but I am on the end of a road trip. Does any one have a manual they can scan so i can see how i can take the rest out and would any body have a PN so that I can order a replacement for when I get home....

Thanks for any help

you can just go to honda dealer and tell them what you need,
and they'll know what you mean.
it's kinda expensive for what it is (if i remember correctly thay are like $1.30 a piece...) but they usually have them on stock.

you can easily remove them with a small flat head screw driver.

you'll be surprised to see how easy it is to change the entire plastic fender well too.

THanks Seung,

CAn you do me a favor and describe the process for me. I am not in the least bit mechanecially inclined. Do you know how may rivits there are and will I have to lift the car up or will just a hydrolic lift work.... thanks again...

you should be able to pry / pop out the middle of the plastic rivit thing with a straight headed screw driver and the the whole part will pop right out

I would try and be careful to not break those plastic rivets when you take them out, the price for each of those is absurdly high. I think it's around $2.00 each, so try and save as many as possible.

Concur. It's pretty easy. But I damn lazy though. I had a new inner fender installed this weekend. Paid a friend to do it. 10 bucks.

Heads up

The plug type fasteners are available at the corner ACE Hardware for about 15% of the cost from the dealers.

Friend is a mechanic so he ordered it for me. I think total was $80 or so for the inner fender, side strake, and all the fasteners. Not positive though.

Check out www.hondaautomotiveparts.com and look for the S2000's "Front Fender" parts. If you can get them cheaper than what's listed there, then you're getting a pretty decent deal.
