In race cars, often the ENTIRE front end of the car is that low, so there's no need for special wheel spats. In any case, non of us have empirical wind tunnel data to base any claims - just the reports from people who have removed them, and subsequently complained about the feel of the car.

i think they are water splash guard. they prevent water for splashing forward and upward onto the car. i notice this in other cars that don't have this, when i drive fast into deep puddle, water will splash over the windshield. if they are aero aids, we would see them on race cars. just my opinion.

this is a debate and i'm just stating my opinion. if you have concrete data stating other wise, show it and i'll shut up.

if it's so beneficial, how come no other auto manufacture have caught on to this miracle. how come honda didn't put it on their other high performance cars.

Lots of other auto manufactures use those... but they are not as visable as with the S2000... another car where the are visable are Saab's... (do these drive around in the US ?)

also my friends e36 m3 has them. so i would not say that it is a honda exclusive item.
