Default plastic windows

Hey,

My 2000 S2K has a plastic rear window, and i was just wondering, when that has to be replaced, can u just replace the "window" or do u have to replace the whole top?

you mean replace with glass window right? then it need to replace the whole top. if you mean replace with plastic window, then it doesn't need to replace the whole top.

You can have just the window replaced. I had mine done under warranty a little more than a year after I bought it. It's good that I didn't have to pay the hourly rate to replace it, because it took them a long time to get it done right. You might want to try to find a dealer that has experience in replacing rear windows.

When you replace the plastic window, you are actually replacing more than jus the little plastic window part. RHES2K had his replaced under warranty and he showed me what they had to do. If you look at the window, you can see that there really is no way to just take the window out. You actually replace the entire back piece that the window is attached to.
