Please help!! Anybody have written instructions for installation of Rick's steering??
Thanks for the tip aaron - I tried it but doesnt get rid of the SRS light.
Here is a detailed account of the remedies I have tried.
Pulled 7.5A fuse (second from top in right most fuse column). Waited 30 s and reinserted fuse. Started car - SRS light remains ON
Disconnected battery neg terminal, waited for 5 min
Reopened the left side panel to check airbag connection. Seemed to perhaps be a little loose. Refastened - heard the click and saw the tabs snap into place. Reanchored the connection and closed the panel.
Reconnected battery
Started car - SRS light remains ON
Turned off ignition
Pulled two more fuses (both listed as SRS fuses on the fuse legend in the car). A 10A fuse bottom most fuse in left fuse column and a 15A fuse just above that. Reinserted fuses after 30s - SRS light remains on once car is started.
This is driving me nuts !!
Someone please help - why oh why is the SRS light staying on??

Moneeb-
I sent you a PM.
Check the main connection for the airbag on the left side of the wheel. Make sure it's seated completely. You have to retract the plastic shroud to plug it in the release it to secure it.
There was no need to pull fuses or anything when I did mine.
The cable reel also may be a problem. Check the instructions abve for more info. It should read 2.5 or 2.75 revolutions not 250 or 275.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for the PM Mack,
As I mentioned in my PM to you, I was careful with making sure the cable reel was in the right position before I seated the new wheel. I am also very sure that the airbag connection is secure. I will re-check this though.
Anybody have any other thoughts on what could be wrong?
