Please help: spill in the trunk
I spilled about a quart of liquid Fantastik cleaner in the trunk this evening (apparently I didn't close the bottle well when I used it to wash the car cover at the laundromat and when I was driving back, it leaked out.).
Much of it pooled beneath the tool kit, and I used some towels and water to absorb it and scrub the carpet.
But is it likely to have seeped through the bottom of the carpeted area and into some other part of the car? Is it likely to do damage there? Is there something else I need to do?
Thanks in advance.

Being the intrepid and fearless S2K owner that I am, I pried up the studs (my fingers are killing me and I broke a small piece off one stud) and removed enough of the bottom carpet to get at the area below.
Some of the liquid had indeed pooled in the metal well below the carpet. What a nightmare!
The moral of the story: don't ever, ever spill anything in your trunk. If you do, you have to pry up the carpet to really clean it up.
One more tip: if you're going to leave the trunk open to air dry, remove the bulb in the trunk light so you don't kill your battery. (Fortunately, I thought of that before the battery ran out of juice.)
