water in trunk after gutting trunk, need advice
i never really noticed any water in the trunk of my car before when it rained....but then again i never looked under the tools and such in the trunk.
yesterday i removed the spare tire, tools, jack, and all interior pieces from the trunk.
so it is just bare metal and random pieces of insulation that honda puts in the trunk.
today it has been raining for a while and i also washed the car last night and today i opened the trunk and noticed at the very bottom of the trunk, there was like 1 cm of water.
anyone know where it comes from?
how to stop it from getting in?
comments?
thanks

I had mystery water in my trunk as well. I checked the seals around the trunk lid and they were fine. I finally determined that water was coming through the tail lamp cluster. A bit of silicone/caulk stopped the leak.

Very commonly happens when washing the car since you can easily blast water in the vent.
