Default Hole in trunk

So I just bought a 2003 S2k and after I brought it home I realized all the problems with it. I guess one of the minor problems is a small pencil hole in the trunk where I can see the ground. My first idea was to rubberize the whole trunk but is there another like substance that I can use, so I can fill it in from the bottom and the whole trunk?

If you can't find a rubber plug that fits, cut off a piece of rod (threaded would do) that has a good fit, and seal it with JB Weld. Of course make it flush to the inside.

^that could be intentional! I personally drilled 3 holes in my trunk, although pin sized, to allow water to drain. It has been a common issue for s2k's to get water in the trunk underneath the tool kit. I think it is caused by the sealant around a drain hole or some type of vent around the rear bumper/trunk area that dries out and eventually lets water collect in the bottom. A simple solution is to drill a hole or two instead of having to remove the whole bumper etc.

Maybe it was a hole used to pass a Nitrous line through?

In any case, like someone else suggested, try to find a rubber plug to put in there. Silicone it in place if it doesn't fit tight.

Find a small round head bolt and nut that fit the hole. Cover from the outside with under coating spray.
