I recently got an S2000 from a dealer, and there is this knob that turns in the middle of the center console (in the picture). I do not know what it is and what it does. Any idea? Please help!

 

might be a bass controller for a past audio system installed.

Does your car have an aftermarket alarm system installed? If so it could be a valet button. It's a strange place for that button but if the previous owner wanted to use it a lot he may have put it there for convenience.
