Arrow Shift knob help

This is a simple question.

How do I change my shift knob?
I can not seem to get it to twist off. Am I missing something?
I believe when I bought my car used a short shifter was already installed. I do not see a locking nut underneath.
Should I be twisting clockwise or counter clockwise? I only ask this question because maybe the shift knob is countersunk? But it is the 2001 OEM knob, possible countersunk drilled?

Thanks any help would be appreciated.

It frustrating when I can not even figure out how to swap my shift knob.

Doh!

I would have to guess at what you have. So if you could post a picture of what you have, that would help.

The knobs all unscrew by turning counter clockwise. The OEM knob has a 14mm lock nut. This lock nut needs to be turned clockwise to allow the knob to be removed.

Will do. I'll snap a could of shots after class. The knob doesn't even budge when I try to twist it counter clockwise with force.

So on OEM knobs, all you do is turn counter clockwise and and it beging to screw off?

most likely loctite?
