My gas light comes on at around 215 miles usually. Hmmm I didn't think I drive hard.

Plus, when you're driving the S the time (and miles) just fly by, so you're always surprised how much gas is gone.

I can get at least 300 miles on a tank full on the highway and I fill it before the low gas light comes on. Around town (back and forth to work) I average about 20 MPG and I just fill it when I get about 200 miles on the tank. I don't pay much attention to the gas guage. My commute is a lot of speed up, slow down type of driving. We have a lot of people that drive slowly in the left lane, so I'm constantly slowing down or passing them. This car makes them look like they are going backwards when I pass them...

Good idea on the MPG calculation, but how do i measure the gallons? I can find out how much is in the tank after i fill up from the manual, but how do i know how many gallons are left after driving for awhile. (if there is some simple answer to this, take it easy on me- my brain is fried from work)
you didn't valet park your car by any chance did you?

I had the same thing, but my mileage has gotten better. I always reset the trip and tend to get around 25 miles to the gallon.

If you put 100 miles on the car, then yes, you used about 1/2 tank of gas according to the gauge.
I get about 200-225 miles between fillups. The light isn't on, but I'm down to 2 bars or so on the
dash.

Perfectly normal. I'll bet you easily did that 100 miles and didn't even realize it

1/2 a tank in 24 hours unreasonable? Not quite. Last weekend I went through a 1/2 tank in my Z in an hour and a half. All depends on how you drive it. How many RPM's you hit in each gear is a big factor.

I usually put in around 11 gallons with 220 miles on the tach. That is usually the best that I get. Most of my driving M-F is stop and go on the freeway. (only 6 miles thank G-d). I am driving down to LA next Friday and I'll be able to see what milage I get on full speed freeway driving.
