Just over 40K on mine...nothing but routine maintenence (oil, differential, tranny, air filters, tires).

I do need to get the rear axle tightened; I have that knocking sound when getting out of 1st gear.
I had the same problem. It was actually the axle nut. They need to replace the nut and retorque it to some rediculous 120lbs of torque.

Good luck!

It better had been 220 or you should been picking your wheel hub out of the ditch by now.

I have 140,000 hard miles, mostly back county roads. I haven''t had any big complaints oter than many rattles which can be fixed once you find them, such as visor loose, radiator fan rattle, driver window rattle, intake box, and one I haven't pinned down yet in the passenger airbag area of the dashboard. I did get a new clutch at 85,000 mile, but as far as the rest of the drivetrain no problems, and I push the car hard every day.
Nice Work!

Re-torque the sparkplugs? Sounds a bit anal. Maybe retorque the lugnuts. I just purchased a torque wrench. Can't wait to re-torque stuff. Re-torqueing rocks.

This applies mostly to pre-'02 cars. Honda put out a world wide recall on this. They changed the part number on the spark plugs and also increased the torque on them. They never said what their reasoning was but quite a few S2000s in the early days had #4 cylinder grenades from plugs backing out. Don't underestimate the importance of checking the plug torque. It could cost you an engine.
