I use a Passport 8500 when I drive outside urban areas. It's another layer of security but I don't absolutely depend on it. Common sense comes into play, as well...and a detector won't save you in every case. It's all a roll of the dice.

I'm w/ the Aussie on this one. Virginia it's outlawed!

Not that I would use it on my S, but I did have it prior to moving to VA, but I mailed that to my brother in TX. I guess I would if I were to speed alot, you know the highway miles doing 10-20 mph over the posted speed limit, but I don't so. NO.

I use the Valentine. Plug it right into the cigarette lighter and then mount anywhere thats not readily visible (from behind the car) with velcro on the dash. Spend the extra money for a V!
