Poll: Ebay header or Megan...
So right now I'm torn... the Ebay header is $200 shipped, the Megan is $325 picked up about 30 miles away. Cost is a factor only because I'm about to get gears and CF parts too... otherwise I'd consider the J's.
I would never normally use ebay parts, but this thread actually makes it seem like a quality product.
The Megan header has been proven to make HP on a FI application, but there are no before/after dynos for NA setups.
Thoughts? Remember, I really don't want to hear about spending $700 on a header. If that's the case, I'll save the money for something with better gains.
Thanks!

Why spend 200-300 and get 0 gains?
Stock.
Stock.
People who have actually used these headers have good things to say even though we have no actual dyno proof. The people who are saying "stay stock" are the ones who have no experience with them so I say screw it, give it a try. Intakes only make a few hp on our cars yet we spend a few hundred on those. For the price, I'm going to at least give one a shot this spring.

Those above won't work.
Stick with Toda, Hytech, J's or Mugen if you want gains.
Megan is a copy cat, and ebay... the welds will break on you.
RICK'S header is much better those both of those combined.

Because while nobody has dynoed either of these as having a N/A gain, nobody has dynoed them as having a loss either. I'm just naturally curious

a guy i know up here bought a turbo manifold for his crx that he went turbo with off of ebay. He didnt have much money and it was cheep, and he said it put out more power than the "quality" one he bought before. He said the only downside was when it developed stress cracks on the welds, which he said he easily fixed by re-welding it. I would say give it a try, and if it dont work well, you can put your stock one back on and it wont be that big of a dent to your wallet. At least you will have some fun working on your car in the process right.

I say stock, but I have MUGEN. Those of us with lower User ID: (We know what works and what doesn't)
