[B]once these are being produced any chance of working something out with Rick where if one purchases a windscreen from him he'll ship it to you for this mod (saving shipping and time) if the customer so chooses?

Jeff (Stratocaster) and I discussed this a week or so after the project was under way. There's certainly no issues with ordering from Rick and having him ship the screens directly to me, but please do not ship any windscreens my way yet. There are still a few logistical issues for me to work out. I just received Rick's new screen design in the mail today (Thanks Rick!), but I have yet to test it with the LEDs to determine if any more changes need to be made. I need to look for a local etcher who is able to do a quality job...if I can't find one, then those interested in me modifying their stock screens may want to reconsider an order with Rick (since no etching means no color).

Oh, and don't forget, I will need the mechanism shipped to me, as well, since it has to be slightly modified. The windscreens themselves cost about $5 to ship USPS, the mechanism will easily fit in one of their priority boxes and the shipping should be <$5. I expect the average buyer will end up paying $5 to ship me the mechanism/stock screen and $10-$15 to have everything shipped back to them (I will insure this item due to the expense, unless requested otherwise).

The board house rejected my design.

Well, not really, but they made some suggestions and I decided to pull the order because of it. This will give me a chance to add a few minor features that I wanted to put in but didn't want to spend the time originally. If I work REALLY fast I can still get the design locked down and sent to the board house before leaving for my interview.

I have a shaded screen coming now. I found out about your lighted one through Rick. I'm interested in your lighted screen.
Do you have it in process yet? I'm new to this club and trying to communicate through it. So I don't know how long you have been at this project.

Where is that pictures of Rick's new "S" logo screen? Can someone paste it in here?

Hey Dave, what's up with that link? I get some sort of error saying I'm not allowed to see it! How rude.
