Poll: Multi-color windscreen lights with brake and reverse
I have posted some new info as a standard post (not an edit of the first one). Offering entire windscreen mechanisms is a possibility, but I don't see much of a need for it. There are very few people out there with MY2000-2001 vehicles who want a screen and don't currently have one, and everyone from MY2002+ already has a screen.
Due to etching issues and cost, I will not etch pre-existing screens, but I will provide screens in both increased height and stock height configurations.

Mac, i believe the windscreen was standard on MY2001's. so, you're only talking about MY2000's who would have no screen whatsoever.
and am i to understand from the above that if i send you my stock screen (and mount), that you will not be able to have it etched? if so, i'll have to find my own etching locally, correct?

OK, that's even fewer people who would need the assembly.
The etcher says the screens are so small there is a great risk of the screen shifting during the etching process (the equipment they use was never designed for this type of work, it's a vacuum table). What I CAN do is etch a replacement screen cut to stock height (4 local members have chosen that option).

STILL having issues with the etcher and files formats (seems they only use AutoCAd LT, so you have to specifically save DWG files as such using the "Save As..."). I currently have 3ngin33r1 and SC_Highlander helping me out, but this is becoming a major hassle...
could this be of help Mac? freeware Raster to Vector converter w/ .DXF output.

here's another possibility... http://www.eprintdriver.com/ePrint-File-Formats.html
allegedly can do conversions with both EPS and DWG files, as well as some couple hundred other types. and it has some sort of free trial period...

I'm downloading the LEADTools trial version now. Every program I've come across so far has been able to read or write EPS or DXF/DWG file formats, but not both in the same package. The file is EPS, but I need DXF/DWG saved in AutoCAD LT format (a less advanced version than the typical AutoCAD format). At least that's what I'm being told (although I thought the whole idea behind DWG was simplicity and and interchangability...maybe that's why DXF came out).
Just for clarification:
.DWG is AutoCAD specific. I am surprised that there is a difference between LT and the full version.
.DXF is Data Exchange Format, and was designed as a way for different CAD programs to share drawings. However, everyone impleneted it in a different way.
I used to be a draftsman and when we imported .DXF files into AutoCAD there would always be a lot of extra junk that I would end up having to clean up. About half the time it was easier to redraw the whole drawing from a print.
Your best bet is to get a hold of AutoCAD (preferably LT in this case, and the same version as your etcher) and then try to import different file formats that you may have.
I have a copy of AutoCAD (not 100% sure of the version, mabey 14) at home. If you want to send me the file I can see what I can make out of it. My e-mail is my handle at hotmail. (If the file is large, then just send me a link and I will download it.)

You should be able to open an AutoCAD .DWG file in AutoCAD LT as long as the versions are compatible. The difference between the two is AutoCAD LT does not support the AutoLISP programming language.
Mac, what version of AutoCAD LT are they using?
