The first modified windscreen designs to accommodate MacGyver's needs will be finished on Saturday. If all is well, we'll be shipping this new design next week. Since a lit screen works best with something etched into it and we cant offer the S2000 logo, we're developing a modified S badge design for the windscreen. Stay tuned for that.

I apologize for the off-topic response, but this drives me nuts. I was just curious - Did Honda offer you any sort of licensing agreement? It is so frustrating that they choose to go with the cease and desist route when it comes to the use of their logo. Especially when it comes to the production of quality after-market components by obvious enthusiasts. I can only imagine how aggravating this must be for you, and others on this board that obviously love the S2000!

I'm sure this was covered at length in some other post but, it still irks me.

What I can't understand is why you can't sell me a windscreen, and then once I own the windscreen etch anything I request into it.

I can certianly understand why you can't advertise the logo though.

Although you cannot offer the logo etched could you perhaps let us know who does a good etching job?

Parts are on order, but unfortunately a major component is on backorder (they claim it will be in 6/22).

I am most definatly interested in this mod and I am also wondering how difficult it is to etch the S2000 logo onto the windscreen, cause it looks so bad ass.

Hopefully the parts will arrive in the next couple of days. I think I'm going to cancel the backordered parts...I don't want to wait until the end of June just to see if this will work (not to mention having to pay shipping twice). I redesigned (yet again) the circuit to use different parts. The design is pretty friggin' simple...not counting LEDs, it looks like a grand total of about 14 discrete components.

Oh, and just to make sure everyone interested is still reading this...I mentioned a method of disabling the soft top while the screen is down without using a mercury switch. IF my method works (and I don't see a reason why it won't), I'll take 10% off the purchase price to the first person who correctly guesses how I do it (guesses must be made before the first one ships).

Dang That was my guess...but I didn't know how to say it so simply! Good for you. I'm betting the same thing (although you'll be the winner if you're right ).
