When I go on long drives (or staying in one gear for a long time) mine becomes smooth. Otherwise its notchy.

mine starts out very notchy, as it warms up it gets smoother and then when it's hot it gets notchy again. 2nd and 4th gears especially, as noted by myself and krazik at the track.
