Default Popping noise?

When my car sits for an extended period and I try and move it, it feels like the brake sticks and then it makes a popping sound and frees itself. Do I need to adjust my e-brake or is it more serious?

Nothing to worry about, pretty normal on cars that sit with the parking brake on, especially in the elements.

Rock it back and forth a bit and it'll pop free (as you already know). Or you can try pumping the brakes or fiddling up and down on the parking brake lever to see if it will work loose. The pads are stuck to the rotor.

You can adjust all you want but it's still gonna happen.

i agree 100% They pop right off and clean the rotor off the first time you used the brake.

Ever see the rust on your disc after a rainy night? Kind of the same thing, it's harmless.
