Is it possible ?

itb's

unless you want an autocross car with instant response rather than peak gain.
maybe with alot of head works and alot of tunning, 30whp gain.
but the time you add up the price, it's about a used SC.

I don't think this engine is maxed out.
Spoon swaps in their ECU with tweaked map, exhaust header, intake and gained something like 30 whp.
spoon ecu is expensive though.

SCC dynoed kingmotorsport's mugen'd ap2 and it has less torque and hp band than stock, it barely match the peak number up top. i would be seriously pissed off
this is Spoon car done by Spoon.
They maybe exaggerating but numbers seem to match... Then again, the car did lose 80 pounds.
Losing weight would be the cheapest way to gain (figuratively speaking) 30whp.
you could stop eating and drive naked all the time, that would actually make you go faster!

I never understood why people purchase a nearly-maxxed out N/A car and want a 15% power gain.
Why not learn to harness the power you have better instead of adding more? If you want straight-line speed, get a V8 and go nuts.
You will maybe gain about 30 whp with I/H/E and a good tune.

It all depends on what you want to do with the car. If you just want to go streight than go buy something with a big V8 and be happy. If you want a car that handles great and is home on a road course or at an Auto X the "S" is the car, You just need to learn how to drive it. The more I drive mine the more I learn just how wonderful a car it is.

Honestly its not worth it unless you want to use it for race only. I don't mean to sound like someone telling you that you can't do it. But it truely isn't worth it. To gain 30rwhp N/A over what you have now WITHOUT pulling the head off the car and leaving the engine totally stock is DOABLE but expensive and will take away some of the reliability and driveability of your car.
You would need:
AEM EMS
Cams - probably custom cut by Hytech as they are the only people to make power with any thus far
Some intake - I would just do K&N filter with Spoon snorkle
Header - go Hytech since they'll make the cams
Exhuast 70mm single - T1R or J's is good
A test pipe to compliment the exhaust system
A new intake manifold (there are some coming out shortly) - or ITB's the you can nevermind the intake mani or intake or a larger TB
At that point I'd make sure you've dyno'd, personally I'd dyno along the whole way. But by this point you'd probably be close to the goal. You've also done everything you can to try and make the stock engine breathe better.
You can continue to take this further if you wanted by possibly getting a stroker crank and bumping up your compression, then you could also get some head work done, remove A/C...
There is lots you can do but how much do you want to spend and what did you buy this car for? Those are better questions.
I myself have a 2.5L stroker motor stock exhaust, stock intake, stock everything but the motor and its about 240whp or about 40 over stock. Worth it? Right now I would tell you no unless you have it installed by Inline.
