Default Possible bass solution question...

Hey all, I dont even own my S yet, and I'm already devising exactly what I'm going to do and in what order... it's pretty exciting. Anyway, one question I do have concerns the mounting of 8' subwoofers. I dont feel like driving over to the dealership right now to look for myself, so I'll ask ya'll. I know the seatbacks are at a slight angle (sort of like this ... _/l... ) , but maybe too slight. Would it be possible to mount an 8' subwoofer in a custom box behind the seats towards the floor. Would they fit with the seats back all the way? I saw the new custom 8' subwoofer enclosures at the shop that go in the trunk. But I think it would be damn sweet to have the subs in the cabin. Thanks in advance.

Jeff.

No, the space there is too small. If you want to mount a subwoofer inside the cabin, then the passenger footwell is a solution. Other than that, your trunk is the only place. Here is a link for more info

Alright, what we really need is more mid and high range, NOT more low range noise, I can barely hear voices... just some BOOM, BOOM, BOOM

Yes you can mount an 8'' behind the seat. There is a panel that can be taken out behind the drivers seat. The 8'' won't even poke out. But You may want to wait and get a bass box that can fit under the seat by clairon. It's coming out next month and will cost about $400.

it may work ... you would have to use a 8" sub w/an inverted mag. structure so the mounting depth would be very small - I have one I played with that has a 2" mounting depth. I'm no expert, but unless you use a lot of power (500 or more watts) due to the size of the box needed, it would most likely be more mid-bass.
