Possible fix for for the auto-rolldown problem
Ok guys,,, My 00 started not working about month after I bought it,, (used with 110,xxx,,, now has 118,xxx),,, Saw the TSB about it and it mentioned, "corrosion in the window motor" as the fault,, I didn't pursue fixing it since it still worked fine when holding the button down,,, Anyway, I saw this thread,, and somewhere in it,, saw someone mention that it may be corrosion on the contacts,, which could be, "removed" with some constant use,,, Sooo, here's what I just did,,, went out to the garage,, ran the window fully down, then fully up, several times by holding the switch in both directions of course,,, I did it with the motor off,,, Then started the motor to have full voltage from the battery,,, again, ran it up, down, up, down several times,,, the auto down function NOW works,, !!!!,,, Then noticed that it was sorta, "shuttering" a couple of times in the middle of it's travel down... So,, popped the door panel off,, ran the window all the way up,, then reached inside the access hole in the bottom left,, and sprayed some white lithium grease all up and down inside the vertical track,, Put it all back together,, and it now works PERFECTLY!!!,,, Hopefully the age of the car, caused the drying of the lube in the track,, and was causing the switch to trip out,, Just thought I'd let you guys know to try it,,,,

Can someone elaborate what this auto-rolldown problem is? A little confused and curious if I have this problem, too. TIA.
