S2000 Talk Discussions related to the S2000, its ownership and enthusiasm for it.

Is this possible? Has it ever been done?

The ONLY badge on my car is the H on the steering wheel
(and the mugen one on my wing)

An I ashamed of the S2000? No
Do i enjoy people asking me what kind of BMW it is? No
Does it look 100x better? Yes

Im happy spending all that money to remove badges, because I did it to be different - isnt that why anyone customizes their car in the first place?

Great point...because I spent all that money on my car I'm going to take the badges off. Why didn't I think of it before?

Would you take the badges off of a Ferrari if you bought one?

It's a look thing, it has nothing to do with who makes it or if you're ashamed of it or not. Everyone on this website are true enthusists who gladly say we own s2000's. The only thing is, some like it without the emblems FOR A LOOK. Either way, we still proudly say I drive an s2000. With or without the emblems

I agree, sometimes it looks better without emblems. It may allow the lines of the car to flow more smoothly.

On the other hand, I was kind of joking because SO MANY people ask me what kind of car I drive, and it wouldn't be any easier without emblems on my side.

Basically its a look, and I think it's funny people don't know what kind of car it is...

This is funny, because Civics/Integras all yearn after the "JDM fenders" with sidemarker signals. I personally like it there. It looks good and makes the car safer when switching lanes (people already have a hard enough time spotting our cars).

As far as getting rid of the "S2000"....to me, it just makes it look like you were in an accident and the body shop forgot to put the emblems back on.
This was exactly what happened to my S2k after minor fix by bodyshop on the fender, they forgot to order two side badge, as a result, i had to drive around few days without side badge, needless to say, the car looks weird without side badge.

I don't see any side emblems, but those really do look like sidemarkers to me.
