Default Possible Sales Question

Hi all,

Happy New Year! Hope everyone had a good one. So pleased the snow/ice is finally off the roads.

Couple of quick questions - I use my S for commutting and due to job change I'm now doing 100 miles a day - sometimes more and of course putting 2k + on the clock. Also what with the crazy fuel costs (paid 135.9 the other day) I am seriously considering sellng it and getting a Diesel Civic...

But:

1) Are S's selling ok at the moment? (its an 07 with 26k on it)
2) Would it be wise to wait until the spring?

I'll be gutted to say goodbye - love the car so much just don't think I can manage the costs espicially as supposed to be saving for a morgage.

Typically convertibles sell better in the Spring and Summer, but that's not to say that you can't post it up now. Just don't settle on a selling price, that you're not willing take.

I know it sucks, but there's no point in ruining your financial future over a car. Best of luck

If you're in the UK, you might consider asking this question in the UK subforum. For people in the Southern Hemisphere, it might be a great time to sell a vert.

If it were me i'd just list it now at a price i liked, the longer its posted no matter the season the more bites you'll get. And the process is much niver because people are ALWAYS looking for hondas and a good chunk of people looking for s2ks, there will always be at least a niche market for them. Post it on craigslist for free with sexy pics

If you are mechnically inclined at all a cheap, older civic can pay for itself in fuel savings in no time with that kind of daily commute.

Also my car insurance actually went down about $30 per month when I added a beater car onto my S2000 policy! My 1993 4 door 5 speed Civic LX actually gets over 45 mpg highway on a good day!

Agree with the others, list it for a price you want or a little more and see ifthe right buyer comes along. This is what I am doign this spring. If someone buys it, great, if not ill continue to enjoy it.
