Possibly going to get an S2000, need advice

Well you have plenty of options....
Go with a decent 00 for around 19 to 20k and spend the rest on mods, you can easily eat up $5k in sound, wheels/tires and minor go faster mods like an intake etc.
Or
Put out for an 02/03 and get the glass rear window, the biggest benefit if you ask me. The gearbox is supposed to be a bit smoother on the 02/03's, and the handling tamed down a smidgen by smaller sway bars I think.
That said I have an 00 and love it, scuffed plastic rear window and all.
THe nice thing about it being a Honda, you can use and abuse it and it won't give you any problems.
