Default power loss

Has anyone had problems with the power cutting out when you get in the 6000rpm range? It's like the same feel as hitting the rev limiter.

Thanks

I have, twice. It felt like it dropped out of gear for a bit. I have a 2002, and it happened at around 1K miles and 1.2K miles in 1st and 2nd. Both times were less than 5 minutes after I cold started the car. I don't vtec until the engine's warm now...

This has been happening after the car is warm. It happens from 3rd to 4th and higher gears. I'm wondering if there is something wrong with the vtec.

This happens after I've been driving for at least a half hour. The engine is definitely warm by then.

it's got to be a car problem, then. search the forums for a trusted mechanic. hopefully you'll find one near you.

It sounds like it may be the MAP sensor. Do a search and you will find dozens of threads dealing with the problem.
