I am in the process of looking for my first S2000 and am needing info on syncro problems. There was a service bullitin from Honda concerning this. Since I'll be driving the car and not just letting it sit, the price difference between the 2000 and 2002 isnt justified unless there really were problems with the early cars. I would like to know of any gearbox related problems. I've been told that the syncros were revised in 2002, but dont know if it's really been a problem or not since I've not seen anything about it on the internet. I've also driven several through the years and never noticed any problems.

Hmmmmm. Ive read about this on here but i myslelf dont have any tranny issues. Mine shifts great, took her out today for a quick spin.

 

No issues with my '00, outside of the "buzzing" clutch disk. I'm just living with that one.
