Default Pricing for new 2007's

I'm getting closer to purchasing a new 2007 and I'm curious if there are any people that have done this recently? I have already talked to a guy here on the board and he showed me a price quote that he got of about $27,000+ tax. I'm not far enough into this yet to go nose to nose with a salesman but I got a quick quote yesterday. I was told invoice was $31,604, and with a Honda incentive of $2,000 I could get it for $29,604 + tax. This seems like a pretty good deal, but compared to $27,000 we're about $2,600 off.
Once again, I haven't checked internet pricing yet and I haven't been nose to nose with any salesman either so I'm hoping for some feedback from anyone that has recently gone through this. Also there are no trades to muddy the waters.

Incentives are by regions. Buyers in the south could easily get one for $28,XXX. In my area, $29,XXX was the best they would go for due to a lower incentive. That was before the 08 models came out.

Don't tell them what you will pay. Tell them that you can pick one up for the first quote and ask if they can beat it. And no you won't buy it today regardless of the price. If they can make the deal today they can make the deal tomorrow!

ZX11---------thanks for the tips. BTW, can I assume you either own or are a big fan of the Kaw ZX11? I used to own a 1989 Kaw ZX10 many years ago and last year I bought a very low mileage Kaw ZZR 1200. Big fun!

I bought a new 1991 ZX11 back in the day and still have it. It has been boxed up from moving a few years ago and just haven't found the time to reassemble it. I had tons of adventures riding around on it and will never sell it. Several of my friends had ZX10s. The new big bore Kawis seem to be more of the same over the top performance the old bikes had.

I just paid $28,900+tax in south FL. Could've gotten a black 07, but with 500 miles, for $27.5+tax. The white was worth it

Kushy------How much would the extended warranty regularly cost? What is Lo-Jack? I haven't heard that term before.
