Default Problem with Convertible Top

Every now and then I'll put my top down and it will stop moving at about the height of the roll bars. Then I'll have to move it up a little bit then try it it again. I have checked to see if anything has been blocking it but there isnt. Sometimes it even takes me like 3 trys to get it all the way down.

Has anyone experienced this problem? Should I bring it in to my dealer? What do you guys think?

If the car is still under warranty I would go and let them solve the problem and then tell us. You should not have to "try three times" to make it work.
Good luck.

It doesnt happen all the time though. I would say 1 in 8 times. I just know that when I bring it to the dealer it will work just fine and ill feel like a jerk.

Maybe at my next oil change ill ask them.

I was just wondering if anyone else had this prob.

I'm sure the dealers can be schmucks about things. With my mom's Accord a while back I had an intermitent issue with the accelerator kind of sticking before and I just took it to the service guys and mentioned it. They said they had a tough time replicating the problem, but they checked things out and lubricated whatever they thought might be causing it. They wound up taking care of it and it's worked great ever since. I think the problem might be that some people take the car to the dealer with a "Holier than thou" attitude and the guys don't want to help you as much. Granted, the dealer could be full of assholes too...but I took ours to the supposed, "Largest Honda Dealer in the Midwest" and they helped me out without any issues. Just take it over there and tell'em calmly what your mess is...
