Arrow Problems

I took my S to the dealership to get some problems fixed, but they can't seem to find out what is causing them. The first problem I have is that my radio controls on the dash only work when they feel like. Sometimes I hit the volume up button and it turns the volume down, and the channel button turns the volume up and never changes the station. The other thing I have going on is there is a noise in the rear end when I accelerate, almost like a clicking noise. It sounds like there is some suspension loose somewhere but they said everything was tight. Could it be the rear dif? Any one have any idea what could be the cause of either. Now I have to take it back next week so they can keep it for a few days, and get a rent a car to drive.

A little back ground on the car. Bought it in April as a Honda Certfied Used car. After driving it for a while I started noticing little things wrong with the car, like the windshield leaking during hard rain, air coming through the driver side door when I drive. So after looking around some more I noticed some body lines filled in, well it turns out the car has had a new front fender put on it, I also think a new door, and some other body work that makes me belive the car has been in an accident. Checked the VIN on Carfax and it doesn't have anything listed. Took it back to the dealership, and they said yeah it has a new fender but that doesn't disqualify it from being sold as used. I was gonna press the issue more, get a lawyer etc. But I honesly love the car, and they said they would fix everything that is wrong with the car. So hey as long as they fix it i'll keep it.

Yeah the paint looks real good. Even being over critical about it, I can't see any difference in the paint. And running my hand on the body I don't feel any where where it might have been blended.

My bro wrecked my S, so after like 3 years I got a 3.2 TL-S. Now I want my S back so bad. Just stick to it man. The car is so awesome it's worth it to keep it.

Do you have a stock radio? If not, then the dash controls won't work right.
The clicking noise could be: loose hub nuts, bad CV joint, bad diff. Has the diff fluid ever been changed?
Windshield leaking could be fixed with treating the weather seal with silicone grease and if you don't have them already, installation of the heavy duty top strikers. These pull the top onto the windshield much tighter.
The wind from the driver's side window (and passenger side, too) is a common thing. Most S2000s have this and we just live with it. If it bothers you, the window can be adjusted to some degree to reduce or eliminate this.

Yeah its the stock radio, that is why it doesn't make any sense why it only works some of the time. I'm pretty sure the diff fluid has been changed, but not positive since I bought it used. The sheet they gave me when I dropped it off to get the work done said that the diff fluid had been changed the last time the car had been in the shop. The wind isn't from the window, its coming in down near my leg, next to the speakers.

There's a TSB if the clicking is coming from the axle. They put on new nuts and torqued to a higher spec on mine--made the noise go away for me.

You can have some pretty serious accident repair without it ever showing up on a title record.

So if this is a Certified Used car, it comes with a full bumper to bumer warranty? Use it.

Yeah, I see now that Carfax is just about worthless. Oh well, still love the car. The dealership has been pretty willing to fix the problems, so far. But we'll see, things may change.
