problems with soft top and the rain?

I won't run my S2000 thru a car wash with brushes but routinely run it thru the touch-less types. High pressure water will seep past the window seals where the hinge is over the side windows but simply holding a towel there catches the little that comes thru. Been in rain storms heavy enough for the car to hydroplane and there's no leakage. I doubt my experience is unique.

When I get my S2000, it will most likely be street parked for at least the first 2years or so.

I have not parked out in big rain storms that I'm aware of, but I hand wash quite often and use a pressure washer for pre-rinse, foaming then a hose with fire nozzle for post rinse and I don't get any leaks inside the car. There is usually a trace amount of water on the leading edge of the inside windows where they contact the hood that I wipe off.

You can purchase a cover just for the top. Something to consider if you are going to park outside that long.

Really not ideal for any soft top for obvious reasons. 2 years is a very long time to park a soft top outside.

In 10+ years of ownership, mine has never leaked, other than the trace water on the inside of windows. Mine has not always been in a garage, but it was under a carport for the first 3 years I had it, so it's always been parked under a roof.
