the sound is not really a whistle. this is more like a hollow sound, sort of like when you blow into a seashell at the beach. i had this sound when i had my stock airbox AND with my injen CAI. this sort of rules out the air being sucked in theory. thanks anyways drjekyll. i guess i'll have to get it checked out, but i'm sure they'll say this is a characteristic of the car. well, i'm getting my car looked at by Eddie at JC Honda. he is considered the guru of the S2000 in the Honda dealership world. we'll see what he has to say and i'll let you all know. thanks for the input guys!

cbender...i will try very hard to come this saturday, but i'm pretty sure i can't. I WANT THAT RIDE. i'm currently considering a turbo, but may have to wait till next year. i want to do some more research first on it and see how it is for semi-longterm use. thanks buddy!!!

Good post

My rear tires were worn at 13,000 miles.... I don't drive the car hard.....mostly highway driving. ( for those who drive "normally")

dlq04, you are the best! :thumbup

I have been following this info from you for almost a year now and it has been extremely valuable.

I can not thank you enough, particularly since the goof balls at the various Honda dealers I have been to act like I'm crazy every time I bring up one of these problems. It is very good to know that these problems do exist and have occurred on more than just my car.

Thanks again!

Thanks for the kind words.

I've gotten a lot of enjoyment and information from the S2000 community, so it's enjoyable to give something back.

BTW, I just cleaned up the thread by deleting a lot of my duplication, so it should read easier -- since folks are still looking at it.
