Default Production on 4.56 rear gear sets about to begin

We are starting manufacturing of the 4.56 ratio rear gear sets this week. We will have the 4.3, 4.56, and 4.77 in our product line and will no longer be offering the 4.44s, which are no longer being made and for which the worldwide supply is essentially gone.

We will have details later this week. The new 4.56 will be about 20 percent stronger than the 4.44s, made of higher qaulity materials, and will come already treated for hardness and lubrication. The price will remain the same ($590) for a much improved product.

We will also be announcing special arrangements later this week with hardtopguy for installation of the gear sets. Basically, you'll ship your diff pumpkin to him, and he'll install the gears and ship the pumpkin back within 24-48 hours.

With our special deal on the Comptech reinforced diff, this might be the time to consider the rear gear set mod, given the wonders it works for performance. These gears will give all model years, including the new 2004s, a major performance enhancment.

I don't know, but I will ask the engineer who is doing the design work.

to Rick and Hardtopguy! It's looking more and more like a gear set swap is in my future! Too bad the 4.56's aren't available right now, as my car is in the body shop for at least the next week getting collision damage repaired.

Hmmmm. I just had a diff shipped from Washington state to New Jersey. I used UPS. The cost was 44 dollars and some change. The package wieght is some where between 75 and 80 pounds.

Wonder how much it will cost to have the ring installed by hardtop guy. Also is there any type of warrenty on the install?
Would you (rick) ship the ring and pinion gear directly to Hardtop guy to save the buyer some cash on shipping! Very cool idea Rick! You must have stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night!

Great- I can't wait. This car is such a dog off the line and so fine everywhere else, 4.56 sounds like the perfect cure. Gosh- maybe I'll even get to use 6th gear once in a while! How about setting up a group buy for gears and/or the install? Have you calculated speed at redline for gears 1-6? that would be interesting. Thanks-

I have been waiting for a month and a half for these gears but haven't heard anything yet. Did you get my emails?

I leased the S because I knew I was not going to mod it... Why are you doing this to me?!?! The rear gear set deals keep getting sweeter and sweeter and I can't buy them because I lease my car!
