Default Professional Soft Top Repairs Manchester

Hi all,I don't post very often but i'd like some help please!!!

I've just taken the top of my 05 GT tonight to find a tear in the hood! I've heard the hard top rubbing and alittle all winter but mainly at the front where it meets the car above the windscreen! My local mechanic just lubbed it up in November and it seemed fine. He seemed to think it was just dry metal on metal that was casuing the noise. Unfortunatley not. The hard top appears to have a rubbed at the back of the car aswell and there is a small tear probably 5mm long and 1mm wide! Gutted!! It seems its where the top sits on the soft top at the back on the drivers side.

I'm not a DIY man but am enthusiastic about my S2000.

Please could you help and suggest who I could take the car too in the Manchester / Stockport area to get it fixed? What should something like this cost?

Any suggestions would be greatfully recieved.

It seems a problem with the cars. Is their any mileage in complaining to Honda, or has this been tried and failed many times before?

Best Wishes,

Nick.

I just sewed up a tear in my top I noticed instantly, you could barely see a crack on the outside. I am waiting for the as seen on tv paint.
My method: Sew, J.B. Weld All purpose glue (states for vinyl) leaving the stitching to reinforce to prevent future tears, paint over it to camouflage it. Not looking for a beautiful fix, just a $10 fix to my $800 problem.
End Notes: Soft tops can only be replaced to fix a tear, if you want to get around this, its not going to look pretty and you need to reinforce the area, I need to buy black duck tape to put on the inside.
