Default Protecting my car!

"I recently purchased paint protection , undercoating, and interior protection for my s2000 and found it to be a huge value for only $1152.00. I would highly recommend any one else with one of these vehicle to seriously consider protecting their vehicle with these wonderful products. My dog even peed and threw up in my car and they covered it with out any hesitation."

I'm not kidding about the price that's MSRP! I'm a salesman at a Honda dealership and that's how much the aftermarket lady charge for this protection. Of course the price is negotiable.

Is this one of those items you don't hear anything about until you walk into the finance managers office and even after you tell him "no thanks" eight times he keeps going on about it all awhile rolling his eyes and shaking his head each time you say no,then pulls out a pen and starts jotting down what it's gonna cost you later on if you don't purchase this great protection?.....sorry dude, this is a bullshit cost for nothing IMO

I absolutely agree with what's said here. On a board like this where you have a wide variety of "expertise" and experience, you cannot pull the "wool" over peoples' eyes. Paint protection is a 3 buck cost in product to the dealer plus about 3/4 hour labour to put it on. Undercoating is another cheap cost (for product) process that is totally unnecessary even for my cars which have all been driven in the harshest of environments.
And Interior protection? A can of Scotchgard, leather treatment and some 303 Protectant will do about as good. All of which will have to be redone in about 6 months to keep them working (the same goes for the dealer offered stuff). I'm sorry but it is well known in the automotive industry that these kinds of "packages" is a pure money maker for the dealer and vendors of said products.
I'm glad that for this kind of money, the customer has been "convinced" that he should be happy with it. I'd hate to think in a few months down the road, when he's come to his senses, if he will be just as happy (once he has done more thorough research and talked to more people in the real world). Complete "packages" like this are being sold here for $500.00 CANADIAN and even this is considered a poor investment.

Tell your customer to come into the forum next time before he blows another $1,000.Guess that's why we don't see more Honda sales people in the house. They try to preach this garbage and most of us see right through it.BTW Viper what's MSRP on a can of Scotchgard?
