Pulled over for the first time - HIDs
On the way to S2KDays, I had 2 different cars pull off the road within 5miles when I was on a bumpy section of road.
One I think was just annoyed by the lights. The other guy passed me hauling ass, he pulled in front of me about 30yards ahead, then all of a sudden he slowed down and pulled off to the side. Then he got back on the road and proceeded to pass me with this weird look out his passenger window. I think he thought I was a cop!

I don't think its a BFE phenomenon. I lived in Morrisville North Carolina (AKA Research Triangle Park) and got flashed by people regularly. RTP is sometimes called the Silicon Valley of the east coast and I can't count the number of BMW's, Porsches, etc that I saw around there. It was not uncommon to see 4-6 Z3's a day. You'd see an S2000 every 3 or 4 days. And about once a week you'd see some kind of Ferrari or Lamborghini when you were out.
Definitely a wealthy bunch there...

Well I actually spent 3 years on a campus police force and was an MP in the Army for 2 years - so I realize what he was doing, but it just struck me funny that someone whose JOB is cars and traffic and transportation seemed to have never encountered HIDs - hehe...when I was on the job I made it my business to keep up on cars and weapons and communications equipment!
This guy is a State Trooper 35 miles outside of Washington DC and has to inspect my front end to see these lights? At least he ended up being cool about it...should have seen the gears going while he tried to figure out what he could site me for =)

I knew I'd have problems with the HIDs when I purchased the car. Now that I have them, I don't think I could go back to normal lamps.
The brights issue aside, I've had multiple people tell me that one or both of the lamps are out. I do have to admit that, from certain angles, the lights can't be seen. Tres cool

Been there - done that.
Last weekend I was travelling through VA on Hwy 58 to visit family in Norfolk for the weekend. After being behind me for about 5 minutes the car behind turns out to be a the local constabulary who turns on his lights.
"Great," I think, "I'm going to be pulled over for going 6 miles above the speed limit."
Turns out officer wants to know whether I have some kind of electrical modification that alternates my lights between normal and high beams, because thats what it looked like to him and the the detective with him (his pregnant wife). What the F#$#?
"No," I inform him, "these are stock HIDs and they also come on certain BMWs, Acuras, Audis, . . . ."
The officer, although skeptical, let me go.

I love the HIDS on my car. Everbody who has seen it say they are the coolest lights they have ever seen. My friends consider it an honor to be able to drive infront of me at night just so they could look at the HID's through their rearview mirrors. Our lights aren't level adjustable. Thats probably why we have such a sharp cut off. I want to adjust them though so I can blind all those SUV drivers that have been blinding me for the past years!
