Default pulls to right while accelerating

Hello All

I have been noticing that my 01 pulls to the right a little bit when I accelerate expecially if I accelerate hard - like at 7k rpm. Do any of you see this ? Is this an alignment issue ?

Thank you for your time and ideas
Patrick

Check your rear tire pressure, I'll put money that one has dropped in PSI. It's your LSD working

Hello

Thank you for your reply, actually I am sure my tire pressure is correct, I keep a very close eye on my pressures a couple times a week. Not sure what LSD is - Limited Slip Diff ? How would I tell if it is working ?

Thanks again

Yes, Limited Slip Diff, if your tire pressures are different (I've noted this phenomenon w/ as little as 4-5psi difference) the diff sees one wheel spinning faster and compensates by spinning the other faster. Causes the car to push to the side that is low only on accelleration.

Double check, if you are pulling to 1 side ONLY on accelleration this is mostly likely the cause.

Hello

I am getting new S02's over lunch today, so I will verify again tonite. The interesting thing about your LSD question is that I was starting to worry about it a bit over the past few weeks, if I accelerate hard while taking a 90 degree turn I feel a bit of a rough feeling out of the rear end, I was wondering if it might be that there is starting to be an issue in this area, ie both wheels spinning at the same rate while turning causing feedback ? I tend to drive my car pretty hard so I wouldn't be too surprised if I have started to wear something out back there.

Thanks
Patrick

Hello

Sorry to keep replying to my own posts, but one new fact - with new tires and all pressures matching on all four it still pulls to the right a bit under acceleration.

Thanks
Patrick
