Punked a Boxster
sunchild..
yeah yeah yeah, don't act like you have never merged into another lane while driving. Its an honest mistake, I admit I did it, and will learn not to do it int the future for other drivers safety, and of course my stook. It seems as the older drivers get, the more they are likely to look negatively at people's driving when they have probably made the mistake themselves.
I do want to take my stook to the track someday, but with 1500k miles on it, I don't think its the brightest thing to do to drive the car all out for a length of time on the track. Also, myself not having oads of money to throw around may limit my track time adventures, so until then should I just drive like a pedestrian and go 65mph everywhere I go? Maybe some of the older drivers bought their stook's to cruise around and never get into Vtech range, but I sure as hell did'nt pay 35k for my car to never use its capabilities.

I like to drive too, but I don't need to street race someone else to get a thrill.
I get tired of people sitting next to me revving their engine just because my car is fast. I let them go. I find joy in things other than putting inocent people at risk. Probably like the Boxster driver mentioned. My guess is he is telling others about this S2K driver that kept trying to bait him.
I think he won.
Yes, I am older than you. But even when I was younger I didn't see the point.
I think they call them "accidents" because they weren't intentional.
I am glad that my son is a vol. ambulance driver and has seen what the results look like after someone was in an "accident" after driving recklessly.

sure whatever pulls your string man. I have been driving since I was 16 and have never been in any kind of accident, (knock on wood) and I feel that is due to the fact that I am a very defensive driver always being aware of the situation and what other drivers are doing around me. I always watch out for those idiots who merge into other people's lanes, (me being one of them) without looking and this is what driving entails from oneself. I think 80 year old drivers pulling onto the freeway going 20mph poses the same kind of danger as speeding, and I know all you people out there who are speeding are a lot more aware of what the situation is than an 80 year old. Not to bag on older drivers, but you do lose a sense of whats going on around you and reaction time when you get older. Thats driving, you accept the responsibilities when you get into a car, and sometimes the situations are out of your control, and sometimes their not. It is what it is, and I feel a lot safer with it in my control than in someone else's.
One more thing, if you don't want other drivers pulling up on your old ass, revving on you, then don't get a sports car. Go by an SUV and kill the planet like the rest of them idiots who commute in a V8 at 15miles per gallon. How many of them actually go off-roading? Enough already, get a station wagon.
I agree with your point about people who drive too slow being dangerous.
I don't agree with your other points. What the F**K does having a sports car have to do with other people wanting to racing you on the street???
The car I drive is my business and nobody elses.
Thats like saying if you have a hunting rifle you should take target practice in your backyard.

You know, responsible driving starts with us. We've all made dumb choices when it comes to driving. The key here is to learn from our mistakes.
Attempting to race someone on the street isn't the right thing to do. Agreed! I've been tempted once or twice but have declined, primarily because it's dangerous and doesn't prove a darn thing. I guess maybe he punked you because he's was trying to be a responsible driver?! Of course we don't really know that do we?
Believe it or not, I get great satisfaction knowing that I have the quickest roadster available. I don't have to demonstrate it. Sometimes having the real power is knowing you do and not using it. Savy!

Huyto, you need to get off of the freeways and up into the Santa Cruz mountains. The S2000 really belongs on windy mountain roads, not the superslabs. Maybe you could try to keep up with some of the guys who ride sport bikes up there. They'll leave you on the straights, but the S2000 should keep up with all but the fastest guys on the curves. And if you meet any Boxsters or Z3s up there, it's much more satisfying to pull away from them on a curvy road than a straight one.
