Default Putting an AP2 engine into an AP1?

Has anyone put an F22C into an AP1 yet?
If so, what is all needed?
Just thinking later down the road if I need an engine replacement?
Thanks.

You should easily get more than 200,000 km's out of your engine. Your car will be 10 years old by then.

Hopefully I can make it to 200,000kms
The new bottom end of the engine was replaced at 90,000kms. Perhaps I can get to 300,000kms with this engine.

I know of several F22 installed in AP1 cars. The swap is straight forward. The head and block are exactly the samw from an installation standpoint. The only real differance is the ECU. Some have run it with the Ap1 ECU and many others with the AP2 ECU. Either will work, but I think the AP2 ECU is more common from the swappers. The wiring and ECU are straight swaps. You would need to swap the speedo and harness to get that to work in an AP1, but It would not be required.

What would be the upside to making the swap? Just wondering.

Defender has done it - he was living in NY, but now divides his time between there, Georgetown, TX, and Mexico.

I have done one and I used AP1 ecu. Everything is all plug and play. Just remember to swap the drive shaft end on from the AP1 transmission to the new Ap2.

If I remember correctly, the reason I didn't use the AP2 ecu was because the immobilizer I think..
