Quarter mile and 0-60 times with flashpro?
Ok, I just had to ask. I already have a flashpro tune with just a Berk HFC so I'm not trying to decide whether or not its worth it because I know it is. I'll never see a dragstrip with my S2000 can'tbut can't quell my curiosity on how much the numbers might have improved. I figure the 0-60 should be more improved than the quarter mile because of the ability to now hit 60 in second gear. I'm guessing .2 sec on the quarter mile and .3 on 0-60. Is this too optimistic? I looked through the quarter mile times post but couldn't find a good example with just a flashpro tune. Kind of a silly question since I'm not a racer but please humor me here. What have your results been on the track vs when you were stock?
I've often wondered the same but far too many variables for me to draw any significant conclusion of stock vs. Gernby tuned ECU. Tires, brakes, suspension geometry, ambient temp and most of all the condition and ability of the driver far outweigh the bump in midrange the tune gives when lapping. I think it would take a semi pro driver doing back to back laps to see a difference. For giggles maybe next time i go to a track i'm very familiar with I'll flash back to stock and see and post back results.
Will our cars will hit 60mph in 2d gear? At 8400rpm?
The only gear calculators I can find are highly suspect as they show top speed in 2d gear as 75mph and in 3d gear over 100mph and that's nearly 10,000rpm. (3d gear and the tach "match" -- 8000rpm is right about 80mph.)
