I am wondering if the Comtech Exhaust is good or not. I've heard that Comtech makes good Exhaust system. I am also thinking about Borla. Need you guys' opinion.
BTW do you guys know some places that I can get a Comtech or Borla Exhaust at a lower price? Thank You.

I don't know much about either in relation to the S2000, but Borla makes a GREAT exhaust system in general. I know after hearing one on a Trans Am, nothing else sounds good. Screw Flowmaster! I am actually going to get a single Borla exhaust custom done. DO NOT get the system. $800? Not worth it. They fit horribly. I know the one I got for my truck had to be cut to fit, and on Corvette's you spend a good ~$2000 or so and it doesn't fit worth crap. Same goes for my friends Trans Am. Had to have it modified to fit. You can buy all the mufflers seperate, and none of them cost more than around $300. They have some new ones in their new "Boomer" series that would probably bolt right one. But I would go ahead and order their mufflers by themselves, and have some one do the piping themselves. If you can't get someone that will do that kind of piping for under $100, then I'll be shocked!

I would love to hear from anyone who has had a Borla on their S2K, or knows anything about the sounds of the particular mufflers in their new series!

See if Mingster can hook you up with a Neuspeed... I have one, it's made by Borla and sounds great.

What the hell, sounds great? How about Hp? Performance? I laugh everytime I see a Borla ad talking about increased airflow. Is that really what we want to talk about? Hey dude, how much airflow does your brand xxxy exhaust have? Seriously, if it makes power, why don't they tell you? 1100-1500 for something that makes good sounds, sounds like a waste of cash. Now, with a SC I hear one needs the xtra outflow to make room for the increased inflow. That = xtra horses. That sounds like a good buy.

I have the Comptech cat back exhaust for 3 months now and still honestly dig it. Keep in mind, it is definitely louder or boomier than stock however, it certainly sounds sporty and throaty. It's 3 lbs lighter than stock. Performance wise, you get 3 extra HPs. It's stainless steel so the mufflers and tips look pretty good and shiny from the back. I would recommend hook up with people that have Neuspeed and Comptech to check them out in person before making your decision.

To be honest, I don't really care about the performance gain from the exhaust system. I had my TRD exhaust on my Celica, and i know that it does nothing but make it louder. I will add a SC on my S2K later though, And also I don't really like the looking of my stock Exhaust. It looks like a fake polished tip compare to the Muffler inside. But that is just my point of view. Overall, the Stock exhaust is still great.

Then you want to go with Neuspeed if you are interested in sound and look. It is much cheaper than Comptech. It is also stainless steel and 15 lbs lighter than stock.
