Question about dealers in Austin area
Hello guys, I'm thinking about buying an s2000. Which dealer will sell me the cheapest in Austin or around Austin (Houston, Dallas, San Antonio...)
Stay away from Austin dealers on this car at least. They all tried to rip me off. I ended up getting mine in Kileen. Just go to autotrader.com and put in your info and see what's close by. I found a few in Houston and SA that I was considering but the dealers were hard to get ahold of and ended up finally getting back to me 2 weeks after I bought mine. I also found one in Dallas that looked promising. All of these I got from Autotrader.com. The one I actually bought was by a recommendation of another board member. If you find one you like post it here and I'll tell you if I looked at it or not, chances are I did. There is on at Charles Maund -an 01 Silver with a cracked windshield, torn rick's floor mats, no boot cover or manuals, 30k miles and previous body work from an accident--all this and they still want $26,995 for it IIRC. It did have the front lip, rear spoiler and strakes though
That is basically how it went for me at every dealer here in Austin, good luck.

I bought a 03 silverstone S2000 for 30,286 plus tt&l from Goodman Honda in Houston about 2-3 months ago. This was before the news of the 04 model changes, so you could probably get one even cheaper, now. I've heard Dallas may be even cheaper (not that I'd consider 30,286 a great deal, but it's not bad).
Try using an internet auto-price qoute request for dealers in the various areas and see what comes back. At very least it shoud be a good gauge of where prices are cheapest (I've found that if you wait a few days after using one of these pricing requests and respond back to them with the right response you can get the dealer's to come down a little more once they realize your serious but not willing to bite the day you get the price qoute.
