Default those with ap1 real OEM front lip

does the OEM front lip have a rubber piece between the lip itself and the bumper?

or is it plastic against plastic sort of thing?

the reason im asking is because i see a lot of pictures that seems to have a black outline around the lip, so im thinking it might be a rubber lining that oem lip has to prevent the lip from scratching the bumper?

because if thats the case, i might just buy the oem ones since aftermarket lip does not comes with such thing, and i dont want scratches on my bumper if i decide to remove the lip

thanks guys.

Yes, it does come with a black lining. This is not to prevent scratching but to fill in the possible gap. I had the hard to find OEM sideskirts on the Integra and thought it would look better without that trim so I removed it. Big mistake. Keep those on there, they do serve a purpose.

The rubber lining/gasket prevents rubbing and dirt getting between the lip and the bumper. Just on that alone...I would only by OEM.

Unless you are getting Mugen or something (that goes under the bumper), OEM is the best

The OEM lip is worth the additional cost when you figure it comes painted, it'll fit perfectly, and it has that little black seal thing. In the end, its probably actually not that much more money. I just bought mine for $335 shipped.

Get the OEM lip. You won't be disappointed. It fits like a glove and matchs the paint well.

Do you mind me asking where you purchased it from?

Got mine from Hand-A-Accessories several years ago, $382.00, but you can probably find a better price. Go OEM for the best fit as mentioned above.
