reading this thread starts to make all the "i crashed my car threads" make a lot more sense.

most of all, you dont need your clutch at all to shift gears, if you pull it into neutral and gently pull on the stick it will pop right into the next gear smooth as butter.

same goes for downshifts, pop it out of 3rd into neutral, rev it exactly right and it will glide right into 2nd. this transmission is so direct and precise that it makes it a real pleasure and very easy to do!

Sounds to me like the majority of people on hear need to learn how to drive properly.
I think everything you said was OK until you started telling people to shift without using their clutch. What the **** are you thinking? Sure you CAN do it, but do you think even for a second that you should be suggesting that when there's already misguided people shifting during turns and riding the clutch while turning?

Seriously, what the ****. You're just as foolish as they are. This thread has really brought to light some of the horrible habits people have while driving stick. Take some lessons, guys, you're not as pro as you think you are.

when you guys rev match downshift ONE gear from 6th to 5th on the freeway do you guys get the engine braking? or does it go smoothly like as if you were still in 6th?

It goes smoothly. That's the whole point of rev-matching.

I didn't mean to sound like an ass, but that is truly the whole point of rev-matching.

I don't know. I think I'm done with this thread. It's just too frustrating. Good luck guys.

you get engine braking whenever you're in gear and neither on the gas or idling

Shoot rev matching 1st and 2nd gear is harder then I thought. The rest of the gears become smooth as butter with rev matching.
